NFC South Predictions

This is going to be a very tough division to play in.  I feel that there is going to be a good team that will get a high draft pick simply because the teams in the division are beating up on each other.  Outside of the AFC North this is probably my favorite division to watch.  You have a mobile quarterback, a great defense, and one of the best pocket passers in the game.

1st - Atlanta Falcons (12-4):  This team is really good, plain and simple.  Now that they have brought Gonzalez back, their offense is almost unstoppable.  The only concern that I have is that the defense will not be able to hold up for the whole season.

2nd - New Orleans Saints (10-6): I really feel that with their coach back that they will be a much better team.  I just don't trust their defense, and that one factor could turn this 10-6 team into a 6-10 team, plain and simple.

3rd - Tampa Bay Bucs (8-8): I know that this may upset bucs fans, but honestly, I do like the off-season that your team had.  The only problem is that Freeman is one of the most inconsistent QB's in the game today.  If he can play well, you could very well see your team making a deep run this year.

4th - Carolina Panthers (6-10):  Good news, they are headed in the right direction and have a very dynamic QB.  Bad news, this team plays in this division.  I think that with a receiver like Smith, and a pretty good pass rush that this prediction could be way off.

  1. You are waaaaay off on the panthers. The panthers have a top 5 front 7 on defense in the NFL, with Luke Kuechly who is already a favorite to win defense player of the year (Did you catch even a moment of that ravens game?). The panthers have finally figured out how to fix their special teams, and that is all before you get to Cam Newton who has had the best first two seasons of ANY qb in NFL history and is ready for his break out year. With a Greatly improved defense, the panthers are poised to make a run in the division that they finished 2nd in last year.
